RE: END OF TERM 1, 2016 NEWSLETTER
We have successfully come to the end of term I, 2016.  We have seen the caring hand of God in a special way all round the term.  We praise and glorify his name!
On behalf of the B.O.M, P.T.A , teachers and the entire Njabini Boys High School fraternity, I send you warm April greetings.
ACADEMICS
Form One and Two will come home with their Tune-up, Mid term and End of term I  academic report forms.  Form three and four will come home with Tune up and Mid term exam academic report forms. Take keen interest in your son’s academic progress.  Advise him on weak subjects and motivate him on his strong areas.  Form three and four end of term 1 examination results will be posted in the school website not later than 15th April 2016.
DISCIPLINE
I most sincerely want to thank the students for their good conduct.  I cannot forget to congratulate our teachers for their selfless endeavour in counselling the wrong doers.  I need not over-emphasize the very important role of discipline in success.  Our school’s great stride in academic performance is a product of noticeable high level of discipline.  Thus, I urge all of you to co-operate and maintain high level of discipline in your son, both in and out of school.

LOST BOOKS
Students who have lost school textbooks are expected to replace them during April holiday.
NB: Those who will not have replaced will be sent home immediately after tune up examinations.
EDUCATIONAL TOURS
BIOLOGY TRIP
Form 3 and 4 students will be having a two day trip to Mt. Kenya at a cost of ksh.2000 per head,  soon after they resume for term II.
GEOGRAPHY TRIP
Form 4 students will go for a two day trip to Tsavo National park in term II at a cost of kshs.2,500.  The dates of the tour will be on 17th and 18th May 2016
SUB COUNTY AND COUNTY EVALUATION TESTS
All form IV parents will pay a total of ksh.750/= to fund pre-mock (sub county) and mock (county) evaluation test in term II.  These funds are already included in the PTA on going projects fund.
SHAVING 
It is necessary for boys to be smart at all times. To facilitate this exercise all parents pay a total  of ksh.90 per term.  This is also included in the PTA on going projects fund.
HARAMBEE (FUND RAISING)
The school identified the dormitory to accommodate not less than 200 students as one of the project required in January 2017. This is due to school expansion from three streams to four streams.  The project is estimated to cost ksh.15 million.  The idea was sold to the old boys, and they adopted the project for financing.  They are organizing a major funds drive in July/August 2016 to raise funds for the dorm project.
As a result the PTA executive committee met and decided to support the old boys project with ksh.3,000/=to be paid by every parent as from term II, 2016.  These funds are included in term II and III PTA on going projects fund.
 
HOLIDAY ASSIGNMENT
All students have been given homework to do during the April holiday in all subjects.  Parents are requested to ensure the homework is fully completed before opening day.  Those who will not complete the homework will be sent home immediately after reporting to school.  Please supervise this important activity to avoid inconveniences of your son.
FORM TWO, THREE AND FOUR ACADEMIC CLINIC
Academic clinics for the following classes will be conducted as follows;
Form 2 - 20th May, 2016

Form 4 – 3rd June, 2016
 Parents are requested to report to school by 9.00pm without fail for this important exercise.
2015 KCSE SCHOOL PERFORMANCE
I am happy to inform you that all our 2015 form IV candidates were able to receive their examination results.  There were no cases of irregularity.  Thanks go to our almighty God for taking care of the students.  They achieved a mean score of 8.72.  The grades were distributed as follows;
A- B+ B B- C+ C C- D+ M.S M.G

Our school emerged among the top 5 best schools in Nyandarua county.  However we are not contented with these results because we have not yet achieved our desired mean score of 10.  We are working very hard to achieve our dream.  To achieve this I am calling upon the support of all the stakeholders.
OTHERS
Mpesa Account for Pocket Money – The school has an Mpesa Account No.0704 056520 in the name of our Accounts Clerk.  The number is only meant for pocket money and not for calls. Withdrawal charges should be included when sending money and also sms your son’s Name, Class and Admission Number.
School Uniform –All students must be in full school uniform at all times.  Ensure that no other clothes are carried from home.  Caution your son against carrying any such clothes or else they will be confiscated, and never to be returned. The school has also described the recommended leather shoes for boys.  Ensure you purchase the right shoes.  Shoes that does not conform with our specification will be confiscated. Also ensure all uniform items for your son are labeled with Adm No. and Name by embroidery.
Personal effects – Ensure that your son has a plate, cup, spoon, bucket, towel, slippers, bed sheets, a pillow and two good blankets besides other personal effects.
Those who wet their beds should have two pairs of bed sheets and a mackintosh to cover their mattresses
Electronic gadgets – are banned in school e.g. cameras, radios, mobile phones, memory cards e.t.c.
Foodstuff– None should be brought to school either on opening days, parents’ days or any other occasion. 
School does not allow parents to visit students during the term.
SCHOOL OPENING TERM TWO, 2016 
The school will open on Wednesday 4TH MAY. 2016 before 4.00 p.m.  Latecomers will be sent back home.
